The mild hyperbaric chamber is filled with compressed ambient air from 2 to 4.5 pounds per square inch (1.3 ATA max) and 92% oxygen through a mask. The increased pressure allows the blood plasma and other liquids of the body to absorb additional oxygen thus increasing oxygen uptake by the cells, tissues, glands, organs, brain, and fluids of the body. The uptake of oxygen increases circulation to swollen or inflamed areas thus decreasing swelling and inflammation. Oxygen is then utilized by the body for vital cell functions: healthier cells equal healthier tissues and organs, so the body can heal on its own.

Call us to set up an appointment for a complementary educational tour to find out more about Hyperbaric. Our office number is (650) 654-9268.
Tours take 20-30 minutes, during which we will explain and show how the mild hyperbaric chamber works, explain the risks and safety for each session, go over standard protocol guidelines, policies and procedures, and have time for questions and concerns that you may have.
At the end of the tour, if you are interested in getting started with mild hyperbaric therapy, we have a few short forms to fill out. At that time we will help you connect with one of our referring doctors to assist with an exam for a prescription for mild hyperbaric, to make sure hyperbaric therapy is a right fit for you.
We no longer accept outside doctors not on our referral list. This is for your safety, to make sure the doctor knows the risks and contraindications of mild hyperbaric. If you would like your personal doctor to be added to our referral list please have them call our office.
Please make sure you bring your calendar with you to your tour, so we can assist with scheduling your appointment with one of our referral doctors through our center. At that time we can also schedule your first hyperbaric session.
Visit the referring doctor for an exam and prescription.
Come to our office for your first mild hyperbaric session. Please arrive 5 minutes early for your scheduled appointment time. Sessions are one hour in length. It’s best to plan in your schedule being at our center for about one hour and 15 minutes for each session so you have plenty of time for your full hour in the chamber. Enjoy your healing time in the chamber.
All four steps can be completed in the same day if scheduled early enough.
